Adorable Beginnings: What to Expect with 2-Week-Old Puppies 🐶

Writer's picture: Daniel EideDaniel Eide

At two weeks old, puppies are still very dependent on their mother for food and warmth. They are not yet able to regulate their own body temperature so they rely on their mother and their litter mates to keep them warm. Puppies at this age spend most of their time sleeping, as they need a lot of rest to grow and develop.

Lulu and Archie’s puppies eyes are beginning to peep open 🤩 one interesting trend related to two week old puppies is their rapid growth and development. In just two weeks, puppies can double or even triple their birth weight! Puppies at this age are also starting to become more mobile, although they are still very wobbly on their feet.

Lulu’s litter of mini red Goldendoodles puppies will be approximately 18lbs at maturity, non shedding, wavy/curly coats, first round of vaccines & health checkup from a licensed veterinarian. Both parents are health tested with Paw Prints Genetics and Embark. Puppies will be CKC registered.
