At Homestead Doodles, the health, safety and wellbeing of our breeding dogs is our first priority.  We go to great lengths to provide a long-lasting and loving environment for all of our dogs where their long-term care comes first.  This is why we place our breeding dogs in Guardian Homes; we never place our dogs in kennels or rehome them after breeding.

Our Guardian Dogs are placed with a qualified family (aka Guardian Home) at approximately eight (8) weeks old and they remain in that home for the duration of their lives.  Homestead Doodles chooses the pick of the litter as the Guardian Dog and retains ownership of the Guardian Dog while in the care of a qualified family.  When the breeding obligations have been fulfilled, Homestead Doodles transfers full ownership of the altered (spayed/neutered) Guardian Dog to the Guardian at no cost.  If you are interested in becoming a Guardian, please contact us to see if our program is right for your family.
